Disclaimers:

  1. Flight Charges – a fee of $30 will be charged for each flight of stairs a Budget Moves specialists is required to carry household/commercial goods up and down the stairs due to a missing or non-operational elevator in the building. Example 1, if the customer has no access to an elevator and lives on the second floor of an apartment building, the customer can be billed a $30 flight charge ($30 per flight of stairs) plus hourly labour. Example 2, if the customer lives in a two-story house with a full basement and is moving items from both the basement and the second floor, the customer can be billed a $60 flight charge ($30 per flight of stairs) plus hourly labour.
  2. Insurance Coverage – each truck load is only liable for up to $50,000 in at-fault damages. 
  3. Lodging Expenses – in the event a long-distance move requires more than one business day to complete (9am-5pm), the customer(s) will be billed 100% of the cost associated with providing overnight lodging for Budget Moves specialists plus parking fees. 
  4. Parking Tickets – in the event there is no sufficient parking either during loading or off-loading and a Budget Moves vehicle receives a parking ticket as a result, the customer agrees to pay 100% of the infraction amount. 
  5. Security Deposits – a non-refundable security deposit will be required for all appointments. 0-100km will require a $100 security deposit. 101-300km will require a $300 security deposit. Over 300km will require a $500 security deposit. Deposits will be applied to final price of move. Deposits can be refundable under two conditions: we cancel on you, or you provide 7 days notice of cancellation. 
  6. Cancelations – cancelations up to 72 hours before the scheduled move will be refunded 100% of the security deposit. Cancelations within 72-24 hours of the secluded move will be refunded 50% of the security deposit. Cancelations within 24 hours of the secluded move will be refunded 0% of the security deposit. 
  7. Coupons – coupons are only applicable for hourly labour. 
  8. Travel Time – travel time to pick-up location and from drop-off location will be added to hourly + mileage for invoicing. 
  9. Non-payment – invoice will be calculated at drop off location and will be paid in full by customer(s) before any off-loading begins. If customer fails to pay in full, Budget Moves reserves the right to hold all cargo until full payment is received. Any fee incurred to store customers(s) belongings which include but are not limited to labour, mileage, storage fee, will be added to final invoice.
